Dodie first began studying palmistry in 1985 by reading every book she could find on the topic. She then took classes for a few years, but was left feeling "unimpressed." So, she continued her solo studies by reading palmistry books, observing hands and practicing reading palms. And as they say, practice makes perfect. 

Gina, Dodie's daughter and palmistry student, believes that her mother is "so good at palm reading because she is so good at interpreting what the lines, mounds, nails, etc. mean to individual people. She can very quickly look at a hand and come up with an amazingly accurate picture of who the person is and what their characteristics are."
